44807 Application

Step 1

There are three things a Pilots must apply for  immediately, after purchasing their drone, to be FAA compliant. First and longest, their FAA 44807.  This process still takes about 3-4 months.  Talos Drones has the most successful and stress free process in applying for your 44807.

Next, Pilots must also apply for their 8050-1 form, and can do that themselves quickly.

As well as a AC Form 8050-88

A Bill of sale which can be obtained from your dealer

A Articles of Organization (If the drone is owned by a LLC send articles of

organization. It canbe found by searching on the secretary of state website)

A letter: This unmanned aerial system was purchased new off the shelf from (Seller)

located in (city, state & country) on (date) (signed)

And a payment of $5 check made payable to the Federal Aviation Administration

Finally Pilots must go to a FAA designated Dr and obtain a class 3 medical.

FAA LogBook and Testing

Step 2

The next step for FAA compliance is maintaining records and maintenance logs during all flights and a knowledge and skills test.
Farm-i-tude was the first to create this agriculture logbook and has now added a test feature that (after taken) will be attached to your logbook for FAA compliance. This logbook has undergone a 9hr FAA compliance audit to ensure the records were sufficient.
We also provide step-by-step videos on using the logbook and importing flight records. We also automatically update all pilots on new compliant issues.

Insurance

Step 3

Farm-i-tude has worked with industry leaders to provide the best prices for insurance covering aerial services and hull damage related to 137 services.

At this point, most farm insurance does NOT include aerial services. Once the drone leaves the ground, insurance coverage must include "aerial."

Working with Farm-i-tude insurance not only ensures a discount but will allow you to get in the air immediately through our Farm-i-tude 137 flight program.
